CANSO Yearbook

The global authority on air traffic management, CANSO, produce an annual publication, which is distributed to their members. Looking rather tired, their previous effort needed a new injection of life.

Our over-arching theme was born from vapour trails, which are left in the wake of the thousands of aircraft in the sky at any one point in time. We took further inspiration from the graphic patterns and shapes these respective journeys create. We coupled this concept with carefully selected imagery – most notably the Google Earth ariel shots of airports used on chapter header pages.

The reader is encouraged to take a journey through the document, beginning with having to ‘reveal’ the book by tearing away the outer packaging.
